Swift Parrot Snap Action – Hobart

In response to this tragic news about the Swift Parrot’s decline, Bob Brown Foundation is organising a snap demonstration calling for immediate protection of all Swift Parrot habitat.

"A decade ago there was alarm at the estimates of 1000 pairs of remaining Swift Parrots. The news of ‘less than 300 individuals’ is notice of a death spiral. Chief villain here is the Tasmanian government’s logging of the parrots’ nesting sites” said Bob Brown.

Join us on Hobart’s parliament lawns next Wednesday 9th December at 1pm, to coincide with Forestry Tasmania's appearance at parliamentary Estimates hearings.
